Permits to visit Kapiti Island must be obtained from
the Department of Conservation telephone (04) 472 7356.
Ferry departs from Paraparaumu Beach
daily at either 9.00 or 9.30 am.
The crossing to Kapiti Island takes approximately 15 minutes.
The return journey commences between 3.00 and 4.00 pm.

groups catered for with displays - talks and educational resource packs.
Nga Manu Trust is a privately funded charitable trust dedicated to preserving
NZ flora and fauna. The Trust promotes awareness and education of
conservation needs. School groups and individuals are encouraged to utilize Nga
Manu as a hands on learning experience.
